A disturbing small proportion (22%) of baby boomers is being offered training in AI, compared with 45% of Gen Z employees. And only 23% of boomers have been given the opportunity to use it at work. The gap, argues equity, diversity and inclusion expert Josh Willacy, could be the result of older workers being more sceptical of the tehnology’s usefulness, with only a third (34%) believing it will make their jobs easier. In a recent article he argues that upskilling these employees should be a priority, offering more training opportunities and providing clear examples of how it can improve the way they work can help to break down barriers and drive adoption.
