Women in the silver economy will “come of age” this year. So claims the Global Coalition on Aging in its predictions for 2026. They will “redefine influence, consumption, and leadership in ways that many institutions are still poorly prepared to recognize, let alone serve”. And silver will be “the new green, Overtaking the battle to contain climate change, it will become dominant in debates about productivity, public spending and fiscal sustainability. Despite all of this, most companies “will continue to miss the aging megatrend as the most powerful engine for their future growth”. And too many businesses will “persist in viewing aging through a narrow lens of risk, cost, or corporate responsibility, rather than as a demand signal, a talent strategy, and a catalyst for innovation and business development across products, services, and business models”.
