It’s that time of year when we reflect on a long life and wonder what we might have missed. And recent research suggests it’s a prime season in which to tickle the silver fancy. It found that no fewer than 61% of over 50s have still to tick off anything on their bucket lists. Age, cost and heath restrictions were blamed for getting in the way of every aspiration from seeing the Australian Outback to finally tackling Proust’s Remembrance of Things Past. Not everyone has compiled a list, it must be added. The survey, by probate broker Final Duties, found 22% had done so, with travel the most cited ambition.
