Over 50s holiday specialist Saga is to expand its shared chauffeur service to include customers booking hotel stays. Clearly encouraged by the marketing impact of the innovation, the operator will add them to those on cruises and escorted tours, who already benefit. The nationwide service, included as standard with its holidays, sees customers collected from their home address, transferred to their UK departure point and returned home again at the end of their holidays. The move will take effect from April 1 next year. Nigel Blanks, CEO of Saga Travel, said: “Customers regularly tell us how pleased they are that we ensure their holiday gets off to the perfect start with the hassle and inconvenience of getting to their airport taken care of – right down to having their luggage loaded on to the vehicle.”
