Multi channel broadcaster UKTV has invested £1.5m in Rest Less, the over 50s digital platform and app. The stake taken by the BBC subsidiary’s Ventures arm is described as “airtime for equity.” It has seen Rest Less launch a TV advertising campaign, running until 2026, on the broadcaster’s seven linear channels, which include U&Dave, U&GOLD and U&DRAMA. In return Rest Less, which has over 1m members, will gain access to more than. 25m viewers per month. UKTV Ventures’ investment fund was established to help high growth start ups enter the television television advertising market in return for a minority stake. Its director Brendan Kilcawley described it as “a fantastic platform and resource, bringing countless benefits to their growing community of over 50s, across every area of their lives – from travel, work and finances to health and learning”.
