The idea that older workers have insufficient digital skills is a myth, new research suggests. An international study of 55-70 year olds by the Innovation Foundation found that a mere 5% considered they struggled “a great deal” with the latest technology. That said, it also showed two thirds of mature workers had now developed new skills or participated in training programmes in the previous three years, with more than half (55%) complaining it was challenging finding positions that matched their expertise.
