A new insight into future silver spending power shows London projected to have the UK’s highest proportion of comfortably off retirees – but also the highest percentage of those below the amount regarded as sufficient. According to Scottish Widows’ latest National Retirement Forecast, the capital’s respective figures are 34% and 38% – representing Britain’s widest disparity. Next highest proportion – after London – of those at the lowest level (34%) is in the North East.
