The number of women working past 70 in the UK rocketed by 66% in between 2012 and last year, acording to further analysis from yhe over 50s digital platform Rest Less. The total rose from 101,058 to 167,543. The proportion in traditional employment jumped by 83% – while those self employed increased by 56%. The numbe of men working in their seventies rose by 102,190 to 176,868 – an increase of 58%, with those employed and self employed up 74% and 45% respectively.
