One in three (33%) employees in Ireland say they have experienced age discrimination in the workplace, according to a new report. When it comes to all forms of discriminatory behaviour it comes second to that based on gender, cited by 36%. The research, but the Matrix Recruitment Group, found that while an overwhelming 96% or workers recognised that older people nearly three quarters (71%) acknowledged that age was an issue in Irish workplaces. And 58% said they believed older workers were “less tech savvy” than their younger counterparts.
