A massive majority (93.3%) of people questioned by a US based website said the concept of retiring at 65 was outdated. And nearly two thirds (59.2%) said they planned to “rewire and launch a new career”. The survey was launched by Roar Forward, a site that helps and encourages over-50s to get the best out of their later lives and pushes for better marketing to them. Though it is based on a small sample of probably like minded reponsdents but it provides yet another indication of changing attitudes. For example, a mere three per cent planned to spend their next three decades in traditional retirement, while 57.3% wanted to get involved in non profit or volunteer work.
