A new Silver Trailblazers Hall of Fame has been created by the Silver Marketing Association to celebrate professionals who are excelling in the field of marketing to the over 50s.

The online Hall of Fame’s eclectic mix of Trailblazers features both renowned and lesser-known names from a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds but the common thread connecting all them is that they are embracing the fact that the over 50s sector accounts for 35% of the UK population and now controls 75% of the UK’s wealth.

Naming just a few of the Trailblazers here, there is journalist and former Sunday Times Editorial Director Eleanor Mills, now championing and supporting mid-life women through her empowering community platform called Noon. Alongside her in the Hall of Fame is fellow publishing supremo Saga Magazine’s Editorial Director Louise Robinson.  Then, from adland there is The Kite Factory’s Head of Insight, Strategy & Planning Rik Moore; and from the world of media, there is broadcaster and Boom Radio founder David Lloyd. Others within the currently 22-strong list include company leaders, campaigners, writers and network founders.

The association’s Managing Director Debbie Marshall says “Our Silver Trailblazers Hall of Fame celebrates the visionaries within our industry that see the growing value in the over 50s sector and who go the extra mile to embrace and champion what is an increasingly valuable demographic, rather than assuming it has gone over the hill!”

The Hall of Fame can be seen online at: https://silvermarketingassociation.org/about/silver-trailblazers and the Silver Marketing Association is keen to hear recommendations from anyone who thinks they have a tip to share about someone doing noteworthy work in the space.
