Let’s Talk Ageing & Alfa Travel

One of our objectives at the Silver Marketing Association is to connect members and make introductions and we are always delighted when we hear of a successful outcome.

Here’s just one example when Lee Collett, Marketing Director of Alfa Travel met Graeme McKenzie, Founder of Let’s Talk Ageing.

Lee writes:

“Alfa Travel has worked with Graeme and Let’s Talk Ageing on a number of projects. We started with a full brochure review where Graeme really helped the marketing team understand the needs of the customer and how best to deliver a brochure that was just right for them.

This research was used as the basis for the 2024 brochure and new brand guidelines for which Alfa Travel won the Silver Travel Advisor Award for Representation.

The workshops that Graeme delivered to the marketing team proved so valuable that we organised for Let’s Talk Ageing to deliver a number of workshops to the Reservations teams to really bring the customer to the centre of everything we do as a business.

In  2024 we will be looking in to more opportunities for working with Let’s Talk Ageing and we can not speak highly enough of Graeme and his team.”

Alfa Travel go the extra mile in understanding and listening to what their customers want from Alfa Travel, placing their customers at the heart of everything they do – resulting in their ability to offer a fantastic holiday experience for all their customers.

 

One example was to use Let’s Talk Ageing to upskill many of Alfa Travel staff’s insight and knowledge about their older and more mature customers.  Let’s Talk Ageing were approached to run an informative, insight driven Workshop, covering a range of topics, including how to communicate more effectively with the over 50s. With this insight, Alfa Travel’s aim is now to deliver more engaging and targeted future marketing campaigns.  Let’s Talk Ageing also reviewed the existing 2023 Travel Brochure, using a selection of our panel of older UK consumers.  Valuable feedback was provided on ways to enhance the Alfa Travel 2024 Travel Brochure, including reviewing layout, language, tone of voice, imagery and colour palette – all aimed at delivering a more positive experience and uplifting sales performance.  We were delighted to support Alfa Travel in fast tracking their understanding of this highly complex audience and the Award is thoroughly deserved and recognition for their commitment to delivering an exceptional service to their customers”.
