My t-shirt says ” I may be old but I have seen all the cool bands!” Well don’t mis-read what that says – we are older, but still love good live music, festivals and holidays with Harmony Voyages.

The owners of the company, Andy and Angela Schofield, have certainly found the best way to reach their target market.  The expression “music is the food of love” resonates with people like us who have the appetite for music and travel.

Marketing this type of holiday for Silver Travellers needs excellent organisation and staff.  People of a “certain age” want comfort and a little luxury when going on holiday, but many senior travellers do not want to sit on a coach with music playing from the war years. Most of them want to hear the Beatles and the Rolling Stones as this was their era.  Flower Power was big in the 60s/70s and lots of senior peoples are now in their 60s, 70s or 80s want to listen to the great music that was played when they were young.

Harmony Voyages offer hotels and river cruises in beautiful parts of the world, with the emphasis on good music.  The themes are varied to suit most tastes, from Folk, Jazz, Cajun and more contemporary.  Most holidays are full board, so there is minimal extra expense to help you have a wonderful time.

Come along on a River Cruise and listen to your favourite or soon-to-be favourite bands or artists.  Meet like minded people and sail to some amazing places.

Or join the Costa Festival in Portugal or Ibiza and boogie to your hearts content.

Stay in a 5 star hotel in beautiful surroundings, eat excellent food and drink lovely local wine, and enjoy the warm friendly atmosphere.  At the Costa events, you can learn to play ukelele (like my husband Trevor, pictured above), paint, go bird watching or just relax doing as little or as much as you desire. At the Costa Ibiza this year, a Woodstock Party is planned, well, I am certainly packing my tie-dye for that one!

To make life easier for many silver travellers, Harmony Voyages can organise the flights or alternatively, a coach picks up from specific locations in the UK.  This is all good marketing for travellers who don’t like flying.

Harmony Voyages understand perfectly the requirements of their guests, and encourage the enjoyment of music as the “food of love” at fabulous venues. Plus you don’t have to bring your wellies!
