This is the next in our series of watch-on-demand webinars, exclusively for members of the Silver Marketing Association, sharing insights and tips from expert guest presenters covering a range of subjects about how to market more effectively to an older audience.

Podcasting is the subject for this webinar. There’s been an explosion of podcasts over the last few years – it’s a newish sector, like the dotcom boom in the late 90s, and it feels like there’s a podcast for just about everything these days. Cooking, therapy, history, crime, politics, ghost stories. You name it, there’s a podcast out there! Over one third of the population listen to podcasts and a growing number of the silver demographic who have always enjoyed radio.

But how do you create a successful podcast for a silver audience. Where do you start? What technology do you need? A professional recording studio or rig up a microphone in your bedroom? How do you find guests? And then once you’ve made a podcast, how do you distribute it to reach your target audience and engage them?

Our presenter with the answers is Jeff Ostroff an American broadcaster and podcaster. Throughout his career, Jeff has worked in the marketing and communications field: from speaking engagements, training programs, consulting, writing projects, interviews, newscasts, being a party DJ and event host. He’s served clients in a variety of industries and in multiple countries.

In recent years, Jeff has been the host of two podcasts he created, “Health Care on the Horizon,” and “Looking Forward: Opportunities for Job, Career, Business, and Investment Seekers.”

He’s also a co-host of another podcast about macular degeneration and he’s a podcast producer, trainer, consultant, columnist, and frequent podcast guest; a voiceover talent; and an interviewer for businesses looking to promote their companies or better understand their prospects and customers. He is the author of the Prentice-Hall Book, “Successful Marketing to the 50+ Consumer.”

A busy man! We’re delighted to welcome Jeff with his master class on How to Podcast.
